Herstmonceux Bowls Club 1954

Our
Story

Herstmonceux bowls club is situated in the beautiful village of Herstmonceux, a civic parish of the Wealden District of East Sussex. Famous for its magnificent moated fifteen century castle, the Royal Greenwich Observatory and home of the traditional trug basket.

Established in 1954 as a three rink and in 1991 a further rink was added to make it the four rink it is today. The club is a friendly social centre of the village with a membership of around forty playing members and fifteen social members. It sits in the lovely lime park recreation grounds, which it shares with the successful village cricket club.
